Location and Access

Montbellet is a charming village whose 700 inhabitants live in a network of small hamlets scattered in a landscape of fields, orchards and woods.
As well as its Romanesque church and its chateau, which is a listed historic monument, there is evidence of the past in its outstanding buildings: the chapel of St Oyen, the old wash-house, seven mills along the river Bourbonne and numerous typical galleried Mâcon houses.

Montbellet is situated partly on the banks of the river Saône close to the RN6 (hamlet of St Oyen), 12 km from the Tournus exit of the A6, or alternatively the Mâcon north exit; easily accessible, it offers you a stopping-off point on the holiday route without the need for a detour.
